Hi everyone! I’m new to the boards… stumbled across this site while looking up some info on Clomid.
So here’s my story.. In 2004 I suffered a corneal ectoptic pregnancy at 12 weeks, the day after our wedding my uterus ruptured. While at the time I felt like the entire world was falling down over me, it was really a blessing in disguise looking back. We were young, not yet ready for a child, but we thought we were.
Shortly after, we became a military family, my ex husband joined the Army, and promptly deployed to Iraq for 15 months. While he was gone I went through a lot of testing/ultrasounds/charting and it was found that I have PCOS. After his return we continued the TTC battle and after a year of no luck we finally found a dr that would help us.
I now have a 10 1/2 month old son who was conceived on our 3rd round of clomid.(100mg) His father and I were TTC for 4 years prior so we were elated to finally have our chance to bring a bundle of joy into this world. I thought I had the world! Then shortly after my son was born, his father got out of the military and entered a life clouded by alcoholism and we seperated and shortly after divorced. My son was my strength to do the right thing and get out of that mess.
Since then I have met a wonderful man who also had a tough first-marriage experience. We are committed, but not ready for marriage for a few years. I am a Medical Assistant, and recently returned to school, working on my Nursing degree. We have been TTC for about 3 months now, and obviously no luck. My cycles are about 47-48 days long without the help of clomid, and because of my situation I am hesistant to ask a doctor about giving me an RX for clomid because they will tell me it has only been 3 months.
So that’s where I am right now… He has no children and I am ready for another addition to our family. Don’t get me wrong, I feel so blessed to have my son because there are those who haven’t yet had their first… but I am only hoping that this will not be another 4 year battle as we are hoping for more than one child.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you and good luck to all TTC!
